Camco Engineering is a recognised industry leader providing high-quality services to the mining and resources sector. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our team at our Belmont facility.
About the Role:
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in the repair and manufacture of mining process equipment and other fixed plant. This role requires solid 3D drafting skills and a sound understanding of workshop practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Reverse engineer and measure existing components with a high degree of accuracy.
- Work closely with workshop teams to support engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all drafting work meets required specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
- Adhere to all HSE and QA standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
About You:
- Proven experience as a mechanical design draftsperson, ideally within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Trade/ workshop floor experience?
- Proficient in SolidWorks.
- Has experience with fixed plant equipment? (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering and component measurement.
- Previous exposure to machining and fabrication processes is highly regarded.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Permanent or Australian resident.
